10 MUST NOTS when Buying a Home| Mission Viejo Realtors

– Now, once you find your dream home, we need to make sure that you
can actually move into it. I call these the 10 Must
Nots when you open escrow. You guys, over the years, I’ve seen buyers make these crucial
mistakes after they’ve gone into contract on their dream home. – Hi, I’m Latrice Deluna, your Lake Forest and Mission Viejo real estate expert, and feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to go into more
detail on any of the tips I’m about to give you right now. So, once you’re in contract,
don’t do any of the following. One, don’t change jobs,
become self-employed, or quit your current job. Two, don’t buy a new car, van, or truck, or you just might end up living in it. Three, don’t use any charge cards or let your accounts fall behind. Four, don’t spend any money
you have set aside for closing. Five, don’t omit any debt or liabilities from your loan application. Six, don’t buy any furniture,
even if the payment is deferred until after closing. Seven, don’t allow any
additional inquiries on you’re credit except
for insurance purposes. Eight, don’t make any large deposits or take out any large deposits without first checking with your lender or your agent, hence me. Nine, don’t change bank accounts. And 10, don’t co-sign
on a loan for anyone, no matter what, and be
sure to tell your lender if you’ve already a co-signer
for anyone on anything. That debt will go against you. I hope this helps, and I wanna make sure that you understand how
to keep your dream home and actually close once
I help you find it. Rest assured, I will
make sure we can close on your home once you’ve
gotten your offer accepted. I’m Latrice Deluna, and as
always, I’m happy to help. (upbeat music)
